Summary:                  Working closely with the department manager, this person will be responsible for establishing a Business Development Team in the Service Engineering Department and for helping to shape the service business strategy in our London office.
 
         2.  Job Description and responsibilities:      
    Proactively receiving new market leads from front office and commercial sales team
    Create Sales Menus in order to satisfy requests from customers, internally and externally
    Develop project plan which identifies and basic business framework, action items and schedules.
    Support tasks relating to the Business Development Team, Service department.
    Liaise internally with other departments (Engineering, After Sales, Procurement etc) to solve urgent customer requests as required
    Responsible for developing a project plan which identifies a basic business framework, required resources, action items and appropriate schedules.
    Maintaining accurate and up to date project files of the department.
    Manage and assist the process for the preparation of sales menus, quotations, PO’s and Invoices as appropriate.
    Provide Technical support to Business Development Team, Service for tenders.
    Be interface anchor with the Service Organisation.
 
3.  Requirements:
                                                              
    Education: Engineering degree from four-year technical college or university and previous related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience with the energy generation sector. General knowledge in Gas Turbines is strongly preferred.
    Strong knowledge in process related within the energy generation industry.
    Fluency in business English
    Strong negotiation skills
    Computer knowledge and mastery of common software packages for office work
    Knowledge/Skill: General knowledge of following areas is required.
·           Ideally some previous experience of working in maintenance, repair and troubleshooting in the Power industry
·           Technical awareness in power generation would be strongly preferred
·           Understanding of Project management
·           Commercial understanding of working for a large, multinational company is essential
 
Ideally we would also like to see experience of
·           6 Sigma Qualification
·           Prince 2
·           A knowledge of finance and logistics processes
·           A focused and clear-minded approach to commercial matters
 
5.          Employment Conditions:
  Salary will be in accordance with Education and or related experience.
  Working hours : 35 hours per week 
  Holidays : in accordance with office schedule of 20 days holiday plus bank and national holiday
